Westpac Life Saver Helicopter needs funds to keep flying

The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter is reaching out to the community to achieve its annual fundraising goal of $4 million.

The helicopter is a front line search and rescue service that responds to emergency situations several times every week.

Coffs Harbour resident Anthony Hulbert has told the Coffs Coast Advocate of how the service came to his aid when he suffered a motorcycle accident earlier in the year.

“I knew I was in a bad spot for people to come to me. I knew I needed help,” he said.

“They were able to find a clearing in the forest and administered the medical assistance I needed at the time.”

Anthony has donated to the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter appeal and encourages others to do the same. “It’s an invaluable service” he said.

The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter has been saving lives since 1973. You can make a donation to the appeal on their secure website.
