Grant round open for NSW Sporting clubs
The NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program opens next week, with $50,000 available in each NSW electorate.
Grants are available in four categories: Sport Club Development, Community Sport Events, Sport Access, and Facility Development and Capital Equipment.
Clarence MP Chris Gulaptis said the aim of the new grants program was to encourage regular ongoing participation in local sport and recreation activities.
“Funding is available under four categories including upgrading facilities and the purchase of capital equipment,” he said.
Applications for funding are very competitive, and interested organisations are encouraged to ensure they’re putting their best foot forward by first reading some tips for writing a grant application, which is available on the Sport and Recreation NSW website.
The funding round opens on the 26th November 2015 and closes on the 11th February 2016. For more information and to apply, visit the Sport and Recreation NSW Website.
