Adventure Grants open for applications

Australian Geographic Outdoor and The North Face have announced that their 2016 funding round is now open for applications.

The pair have joined forces to make $10,000 of cash and gear available for Australian explorers to achieve their far-reaching goals in the great outdoors.

Past expeditions that have been funded by the program include exploratory canyoning on La Reunion, climbing  Mt Noshaq, Afghanistan’s highest mountain, and an expedition to Anidesha Chuli.

“For me, the essence of adventure is having the courage to take the first step. In today’s lifestyle the unknown is a rare gift that needs to be treasured and, for those who have the desire, explored” said past participant Paul Hersey.

The winner of the grant will receive:

  • $5,000 grant from The North Face
  • $3,000 Australian Geographic Outdoor Grant
  • $2,000 worth of The North Face gear

Applications are open now until the 31st of December. For more information and to apply, head to The North Face Adventure Grant website.
