This month, we received a call for the ‘Collaborate or Compete’ special investigation report (produced by Giving Trends). The caller was a CEO of a medium size charity. He was wanting a copy to distribute with the forthcoming Board papers. This report was put out about year ago.
This call prompted me to jot this note.
‘Collaborate or Compete’ looks at how Australian charities and not-for-profits are responding to rising levels of competition and explores their attitudes and perceptions in relation to this issue. It ultimately asks the question “is a rising number of organisations in the sector causing us to collaborate or compete?”
This special investigation is a must-read for anyone in the business of raising money, particularly if you are one of the 15% of organisations with more than 45 direct competitors. Competition affects us all and having a greater understanding of its impact will help you to work out how to get achieve the edge you need to succeed.
If you haven’t seen Collaborate or Compete and are keen to do so call or email Annie or Sally – 1300 721 799 / firstname.lastname@example.org to request a copy of the PDF.
