Sunshine Coast Community Grants open for applications
Community Groups on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland could be eligible for up to $30,000 of funding under the Sunshine Coast Council’s Community Grants Program.
Grants information sessions will be running in three locations in the region from late July to early August.
“Funding is very competitive from a wide range of community groups so we encourage interested applicants to plan and prepare and contact us if they need help,” Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said.
“Our grants information sessions are a great opportunity for applicants to get grant writing tips and explore other funding opportunities, like sponsorship.
“These information sessions will also feature a talk on how to seek and obtain sponsorship for not-for-profit groups to assist them in securing those much needed funds.”
Community groups can apply for funding for one-off projects through one of seven categories:
• Community Development
• Community Facilities
• Cultural Development
• Cultural Heritage
• Economic Development
• Community Events
• Sport, Recreation and Healthy Living.
Minor grants of up to $2,000 or one major grant of up to $30,000 are available. Interested parties can contact a grants officer on 5420 8616 to book a seat at an information session or for assistance with an application.
